Welcome to High Point Pediatrics! Below you’ll find information we believe is important for our parents and patient to know.

Sick Appointment (Work-in/Same Day appointments)
At High Point Pediatrics, we understand how busy life can be. Our providers have work-in slots available each day for same-day sick appointments. We encourage you to call for an appointment as early as possible. These appointments can fill up quickly. Same-day appointments are scheduled with the first available provider. Sick appointments can include, but are not limited to symptoms such as diarrhea, cough, ear pains, flu, vomiting, and sore throat.
Other Appointments
Less urgent issues such as acne, warts, or more chronic conditions (long-standing abdominal pain, back pain, headaches, constipation, behavioral/emotional problems, eczema, etc.) should be scheduled in advance. High Point Pediatrics does not assign patients to a specific provider. If you or your child prefers to see a specific provider for Well Care visits, please schedule these appointments in advance.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Your appointment time has been reserved exclusively for you. We do our best to ensure your child is seen quickly. Therefore, we require 24-hour notice for cancellations. If you miss an appointment without appropriate notification, the following actions will follow:
- 2 or more no-show appointments will result in the first warning letter.
- Appointments missed after the first letter may result in dismissal from our practice.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointments. We understand that your time is limited and important. We make every effort to see all of our patients in a timely manner. In order to provide you with prompt service, please arrive at your appointment time to complete any paperwork and insurance verification. Please be sure to have any material needed to be completed at the time of your child’s appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule the appointment to a later date.
